シーランド公国のウェブサイト上でロード（Lord）、レディ（Lady）、男爵（Baron）、男爵夫人（Baroness）の爵位を£30程度（2010年4月現在）で販売しており、購入すれば誰でも卿や男爵等を名乗る事ができる。ただし、これらの爵位には有効期限が付されており、所定の更新手続きを経なければ失効する。日本人で爵位を得た例には以下がある。

* 2006 年11月22日放送のフジテレビ『ザ・ベストハウス123』の番組内で西川きよしがロードの称号を購入し、西川はシーランド公国の貴族、西川卿となった（当時）。
* 漫画家の後藤寿庵も男爵位を有する者の一人であった（当時）[2]。
* 声優の折笠愛が国擬人化漫画である『ヘタリア』のアニメにシーランド役として参加した際、イギリス役を演じる杉山紀彰に頼んでレディの爵位を購入している。
* ホンマでっか!?TVに出演している、金子哲雄も爵位を持っている。
